NDIS ASSESSMENTS
Children & adults with significant disability can now receive funding through NDIS toward supports, equipment, therapy & other services. The goal of NDIS is for people with disability to share the same opportunity as everyone for their greatest independence & quality of life.
NDIS ACCESS REQUESTS
I can assist by providing a report of your support needs, to be used in an NDIS access request. The fee for this service is negotiable, depending on your circumstances.
FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENTS (FCA)
The goal of an FCA is to make sure that the NDIS has good information about your support needs so that your plan can be properly funded. The FCA is a comprehensive look at as many areas of your daily life as needed, to be sure that your support needs are properly described. The FCA process might include you completing questionnaires and ratings, doing everyday tasks [at home / work / community] while being observed, describing or videoing yourself doing tasks, and discussions with people who know you and your circumstances (with your permission),
Funding for an FCA will be included in your NDIS plan.
supported independent living assessments (sil)
NDIS has provided support to help you live independently even if you have higher support needs - assistance throughout the day and night to do things or supervision for safety, for example.
You should have funding in your NDIS plan for SIL assessments if it has been discussed with your support coordinator and the NDIS knows that they need more information about your capacity and needs. The SIL assessment will look how much you can do, the needs you have, and your goals. This information will help the NDIS decide if you meet the criteria for SIL support.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSESSMENTs
Sharelle will assist if you are looking for assessment of your child or teenager. Sometimes you just aren’t sure what is going on, and Sharelle can provide a robust OT assessment that considers their motor, thinking and regulation skills to help turn things in the right direction.
Knowledge is really powerful for kids and parents. Knowing what is going on, why they do what they do, makes a huge difference in how they see themselves. Knowledge becomes the weapon and armour for change and self advocacy.
